Several hairstyles that thin hair women should avoid

It is very important to try your best to deal with your thinning hair as soon as you observe a change in the thickness and health of your hair.Keep in mind that preventing is always easier than repairing a damage which has already been done so try to prevent thinning hair by offering your body all the vitamins it needs and by paying attention to hair care.

Regardless if the problem of hair tinning is a temporary one such as postpartum hair loss or seasonal hair loss or if genetics contributes to a weight loss problem, the hairstyles we choose can impact the amount of hair we lose every day. Especially in the case of long hair length we can make a series of unfortunate choices that ultimately aggravate the situation. Some of the hairstyles we choose cause tension to the scalp putting extra stress on it and even accelerating the process of hair thinning. Here are a few hairstyles that should be avoided if you are predisposed to this problem:

Ponytails
One of the worst hairstyles for women with thinning hair is any kind of style that involves pulling the hair. However, this can create a problem for many women because they often think that the best way to mask thin hair is to pull it all back so no scalp is visible. Women with thin hair need to avoid ponytails and cornrows especially because of the stress these styles put on the already delicate hair. Now I am not saying women with thin hair cannot wear a ponytail, I am simply saying a tight ponytail should be avoided because of the stress put on the hair. Loss ponytails and braids are a great way to keep the hair away from the face without putting too much stress on the delicate strands.

Braided hairstyles
Braiding your hair is one of the simplest and most effective ways to add interest to a plain hairstyle however, it can be one of the surest ways to accelerate hair loss.Tight braids and cornrows put an enormous stress on the scalp due to the fact that the hair must be constantly pulled in order to create this style and the hair strands become a weaker and weaker if you regularly opt for this type of hairstyle. Opting for partial loose braids is a quick improvement that can be made, however it is best to avoid this type of hairstyle at least for a while until the situation starts improving.

Permed hairstyles

Permed hair is also something that needs to be avoided. One of the biggest problems with perms is the chemicals used to perm the hair; these chemicals alone can cause hair loss. Another problem with perms is that if your hair is already damaged the chemicals used to perm the hair just add to the damage increasing the risk of your hair falling out. Any hairstyles that require excessive use of heated styling tools should also be avoided because it can make the problem worse.
